Enterprise growth operator. Author of The Bootstrap Blueprint. Builder of capital-efficient systems.
Brian Seguin is an enterprise growth operator, founder, and the creator of Bootstrap Buffalo — an AI-native product commercialization and turnaround studio based in Buffalo, New York. With over 15 years of experience building capital-efficient systems across regulated banking, enterprise platforms, and AI-enabled SaaS, Brian brings a rare combination of institutional rigor and startup grit.
At Citigroup’s Institutional Clients Group, he managed P&L governance for a $50B+ portfolio and led the consolidation of 30 global legal entities. At Stark & Wayne (later PE-acquired), he rose to President and led the company’s strategic pivot — capturing $30M+ in ARR, driving competitive displacement within Fortune 100 accounts including Ford, SAP, Comcast, and Volkswagen.
As Founder and CEO of Bootstrap Buffalo, Brian acquired distressed software assets, rebuilt operating models, and expanded enterprise valuation approximately 25× within 12 months. He has led engagements across 18+ venture-backed founder teams and achieved +120% NRR with +200% key-account growth.

Before his business career, Brian served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT — an experience that informs the book’s philosophy of discipline under pressure, team-first leadership, and operational readiness.
The Starbuck metaphor that runs through The Bootstrap Blueprint — the operator who sees every problem but can’t always get the captain to listen — is drawn from Brian’s own experience navigating organizations where the answer was clear but the authority to act wasn’t.
